Plumber Virginia
Boondall Plumber works Virginia, 4014, on the same regular run that keeps our vans around Boondall and the neighbouring suburbs. Galvanised services, clay drains and low creek-flat ground give this suburb its own plumbing problems, and we know them well.

What Our Vans Cover
Whatever has gone wrong lands on one of four desks, and every job is done by a licensed Boondall plumber:
Emergency Plumbing
burst pipes, overflowing toilets, gas odours and tanks running cold, any hour, with no extra charge for nights, weekends or public holidays.
General Plumbing
tap repairs, toilet repairs, bathroom and kitchen plumbing, leak detection and gas fitting, from a slow drip to a full repipe.
Drainage
blocked drains, blocked sewers, blocked stormwater and CCTV drain inspections on the ageing lines the postwar streets still carry.
Hot Water
hot water repair and hot water replacement, sized to your household and the damp yards so many tanks here stand in.

Old Village Pipes on Creek Flat Ground
This was farming country and swamp before the railway opened in 1888, and the station village that grew beside it keeps some of the oldest pipework we touch anywhere on the run.
The pre-1947 stock
Council's character mapping flags pre-1947 houses clustered by the station, three of them pre-1911, along Prince, Jefferis, Royal and Peary Streets. Some still feed through galvanised steel, and rust-coloured water from the morning tap is the tell.
The postwar streets
Houses spread from the late 1950s across the old paddocks, and those subdivisions drained through clay pipe laid years before plastic line reached Australian yards. Damp ground has since moved the joints, so the lines trap silt wherever they sag.
The low ground
Most of the suburb sits on creek-flat soil that sheds water badly, with acid sulfate ground showing on the council maps over a large share of it, so shallow digs meet water and the groundwater attacks steel and concrete.
The flood streets
The flood council mapped in February 2022 swallowed whole streets, Yarraman Place, Telford Street and Newtown Street among them, where gully traps and floor wastes push back whenever Downfall Creek is up.

Plumbing Questions Answered
Call (07) 3522 5623Who owns the sewer pipes in Virginia?
Urban Utilities manages the public sewer plus the water mains beneath the street, whereas any pipe past the connection point, even the boundary trap, must be maintained by the owner.
Can old galvanised pipes near Prince Street be replaced?
Yes, the pre-1947 and pre-1911 cottages around Prince and Jefferis Streets still draw water through galvanised steel in places, and we cut the rusted lengths out and run copper in their spot.
Does Downfall Creek flooding affect plumbing on Virginia streets?
It can, because the February 2022 flood the council charted swallowed whole streets such as Yarraman Place and Telford Street, so a rising creek sends water back up the yard gullies and floor wastes.
Are earthenware drains in postwar Virginia houses repairable?
Usually, because the postwar subdivisions relied on clay pipe laid before plastic line existed, and wet ground has since moved its joints, so we clear the line, then patch or replace what the camera shows.
Do you charge extra for weekend call-outs in Virginia?
No, there's no extra charge for nights, weekends or public holidays, and every job comes with $0 call-out fees, so a Sunday burst costs the same as a weekday booking.
